Three steps

Press listen. Then play.

There’s nothing to connect and no account to sign in to. Arpeggio hears what your Mac hears.

  1. 01

Open Arpeggio and choose Listen to Mac from the Playback menu, or press ⇧⌘L. The Listen key sits beside Song.

  2. 02

Play something in Spotify or Apple Music. The first time, macOS asks to let Arpeggio hear your Mac.

  3. 03

Turn on a few effects. They move with the song as it plays.

Listens as it plays

It hears the music, not just the volume.

Arpeggio splits the sound into five pulses as it arrives: Low, Mid, High, Hit and Beat. It finds the tempo from the last few seconds and keeps to the beat as the song goes. Any setting can follow one pulse, as a slow swell, a punch, or a snap that holds.

Anything your Mac plays

Not only Spotify and Apple Music.

Tidal, SoundCloud or YouTube in a browser tab, a DJ app, a game. Your music isn’t muted or rerouted, so you hear it exactly as before.

Fifteen effects

Stack them like cards.

From printed dots and old screens to liquid and light, over a plain ground, a soft aura, your own images or a video. Save a look as one of eight scenes and switch on the beat. See them all.

Record and project

For a party, a stream or a set.

Put the stage full screen on a projector, a TV or a second display. Or press ⌘R to record the stage and the music to an .mp4, in 16:9, 4:3, 1:1 or 9:16.

Private

It never leaves your Mac.

The sound is read on your Mac as it plays. Nothing is recorded unless you record a video.
